Lumpy Noodle
This distinct variety (Bambusa vulgaris ‘Wamin’) is known for its swollen, shiny green internodes. Height maxes out at 16 feet tall, and this plant prefers full sun. Its fattened culms make it a striking small hedgerow or single statement plant. The natural footprint is relatively larger for its height at 9 ft. diameter, but it can be maintained in a smaller space. We only sell this variety in 7-gallon pots.
Please note plants cannot be delivered off-island at this time. Plants are available for free pickup in Waialua on the North Shore of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. Delivery to an Oʻahu address can be arranged for an additional fee (please contact us for details). Please see our Bamboo Planting & Care Guide for information on growing bamboo.
